The ‘green plane’ trial, launched on its maiden voyage from Dallas Airport in 2009 to test the markets latest sustainable products on board an aircraft and included E-Leather to take advantage of the material’s significant weight savings – a factor crucial to the airline industry as lower weight means lower fuel consumption.
