A Positive Signal For The Rail Industry

24th November 2017

Peterborough, Cambridgeshire UK – November 2017: Following a successful show in Prague at the Railway Interiors Expo 2017, E-Leather have high hopes for the continued growth of the market, both across Europe and globally.

Alex Bennett, Business Manager, Global Transport said “Despite this being one of the smaller shows we attend, the quality of visitors to our stand was extremely positive and gave a good indication of what is to come for the industry. There was a lot of discussion around design and transference of styles across sector, resulting in rail taking a much more proactive step towards interior design innovation  and passenger experience.”

Visitors were particularly interested in new materials, colours and finishes which was supported by E-Leather’s increasing stock portfolio. Bennett continued “By offering more colours available from stock, the company can deliver quick turnaround times of 48 hours to help refurbishment programs meet tight deadlines.”

In addition, the bespoke colour matching service allows customers to select alternative materials that offer enhanced performance without compromising the existing brand or interior design. E-Leather rail products have been rigorously tested and certified to comply with European standards EN45545-2:2013. The expanded EN45545-2 compliant product range includes passes for EN45545-2 R1 Wall Panels and R6 Seat backs.

During the expo, Alexandra Bennett, hosted a speaking event where she discussed the future of sustainable materials and the benefits alternative upholstery can offer the industry. The company continue to develop the range of sustainably manufactured products, announcing their next step in the E-Leather rail portfolio will be to include a number of new grains including a more matt finish product.
