CEO, Chris McBean, and Sales and Marketing Director, Nico den Ouden, attended the Daimler Supplier Award ceremony in Stuttgart, the home of Mercedes-Benz.
The event gives recognition to suppliers under three categories: quality; partnership and innovation. Out of Daimler’s global procurement, nominees are those who demonstrate continuous efforts to have a positive impact on the environment and consistently seek to innovate.
ELeather was nominated and came runner-up for the Supplier Innovation Award of Daimler’s Global Procurement Trucks and Buses division. Specifically, the category recognises the development of materials which excel in weight reduction, durability and ease of maintenance.
Nico den Ouden said: “We have a strong research and development department and we always strive to innovate, so it’s very rewarding to see these efforts acknowledged by a group such as Daimler.”
