The major purpose of trains, planes, buses and coaches is to carry passengers. Now consider how rapidly these previously separate and quite different modes of transport are converging in terms of brand, seat design, upholstery type and style.
Ask passengers what’s important to them and the answer will be that they want a clean and comfortable interior on an affordable and punctual service. Allied to all this, hygiene is now another major and growing concern, and operators need reduced in-service costs.
