Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, UK – The ELeather team have recently returned from InnoTrans 2018, a leading international rail specific trade show held every two years in Berlin. The event was held at the Berlin Messe Exhibition Centre from the 19th to the 21st of September, and is Sub-divided into the five trade fair segments Railway Technology, Railway Infrastructure, Public Transport, Interiors and Tunnel Construction, InnoTrans occupies all 41 halls available at the Berlin Messe Exhibition Grounds.

A unique feature of InnoTrans is its outdoor and track display area, where everything from tank wagons to high-speed trains are displayed on 3 500 metres of track.

Having exhibited two years ago at InnoTrans 2016, this year’s shows was an excellent opportunity for the ELeather team to showcase all things new, from the new re-branded corporate identity, colour and material finish trend collections to the latest product development, specifically for the rail sector.

A number of key operators, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) and seat suppliers attended the exhibition and visited the ELeather stand. This gave the team the opportunity to network with all of these key organisations, meeting current contacts as well as some new ones, to discuss up-coming projects where ELeather can improve the passenger journey. This also included various designers and design agencies, which was a great opportunity from ELeather’s own Designer, Nicola Fox to make contact and introduce ELeather’s design capabilities.

A new material, evolved for UK rail

InnoTrans was a great opportunity for the ELeather team to unveil its latest product development, specifically engineered for UK rail applications. ELeather’s ‘Comfort Range UK’ material has been engineered to pass BS6853:1999, certified in combination to category 1B of the British standard, giving the UK market access to the same benefits many operators around have been experiencing with high performance ELeather.
